Historic Palmyra General Election
Join u for our general election meeting at 5:30pm. Active members are encouraged to attend.
Mothers Day Brunch @The Phelps Museum.
Join Historic Palmyra for an exclusive event in the amazing Victorian home of the Phelps Family. Guests will be treated to a tour of the General Store and Family home and then sit down to brunch served in the family parlors. Admission is $30 per person and limited to 20 guests. Menu to include: Juices, coffee, fruit, breakfast casserole and sweet rolls.
Open House and Ice Cream Social
Join us for an evening of history! We will be unveiling a new display at the Erie Canal Depot and serving hot dogs and ice cream! Unveiling is at 6:30pm at the Erie Canal Depot on Market St.
Erie Canal Walking Tour
Meet at the Palmyra Aqueduct park and learn about the Erie Canal, Lock 29, power house and more. Tour includes nature walk down the “old towpath” and admission to the museums. Admission is $10pp. No refunds

Third Thursday Lecture Series: TOTAL ECLIPSE
Join Historic Palmyra and Pal-Mac Science teacher Joe Perry as we talk about the Total Eclipse that will happen on April 4th. 2024. Joe Perry was named the 2023 Outstanding Earth Science Teacher for New York State. Mr. Perry will give advice on viewing and what the eclipse is all about!
Decades Dance with Historic Palmyra
Join Historic Palmyra and dance your winter blues away! Come dressed as your favorite decade (60's,70's,80's etc...) dust off those tye dyes and bellbottoms and put that mood ring on! Historic Palmyra's Famous Cemetery Tour
Walk among the land of the dead as we visit the famous people of Palmyra in the Vienna St. Cemetery. 2 shows, 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
The Red Elvisies!

Sibyl Phelps Birthday Party
Join us as we celebrate Sibyl’s 128th Birthday! Sibyl was a Spiritualist for over 50 years as well as a musician and actress. Each year we welcome psychics and mediums into her home to give personal readings along with her birthday party. This year our gallery reading will be with the Rev. Tim Shaw. Sibyls party starts at 6:00pm until 8:00pm. This is held at 140 Market St. and the Gallery reading will be held at The Coverlet Museum and starts at 8:30pm. Ticket prices vary from $25-$50.

Pirates at the Museums!

Pirate Whitley's Ghost walk and ghost hunt
Meet at the Alling Coverlet museum, 122 William St. and walk to the old cemetery. Try your hand and spirit communication with some of Palmyra’s oldest residents include our founder General John Swift.
DIG CAMP- Digging up the past
Kids and adults of all ages are invited to attend Historic Palmyra’s DIG CAMP. Experience what its like to be an archeologist. Dig site is located in the back of the museum, supplies and lunches are provided. We will also take a day to learn about the Print Shop and Erie Canal Depot. Located at 132 Market St., children 7-99 are welcome. $5 per person/child/per day
“Talking Tombstones” Cemetery Walk
Join Historic Palmyra for a history walk through the Vienna St. cemetery as we explore the grounds, learn about headstones and of course our famous past citizens. THIS IS NOT our “Famous” costumed cemetery walk. The tour will start at the Chapel at 11:00am.-1:00pm. and cost is $10per person. Tickets available online or in person. Wear comfy walking shoes and be prepared for uneven terrain.
Ice Cream Social
Join us for a free tour of the museums and ice cream at the end! Start at our Market St. Historical Museum and end at the Alling Coverlet. Doors open at 6pm-8pm. Ice cream available until gone.
Erie Canal and museum walk
Join Historic Palmyra as we walk and tour Lock 29 and the Aqueduct Park. The tour begins at the Aqueduct Park and ends at Market St. Learn about the purpose of the aqueduct and powerhouse. Walk up to the Lock and its role on the Erie Canal, maybe even catch a boat or two, explore and learn about the bridge in the park. Once we finish in the park, we will then start on a nature walk down the canal path to Market St. Once back at Market St, you are invited to tour the old Erie Canal Depot and our other museums at a discounted price. The walk will begin at 10:30am and admission is $10 per person and includes the museum admissions. Tickets can be purchased online or in person.
Underground Railroad Walk and Talk
Join Historic Palmyra as we discuss the role Palmyra and some of her citizens played in the UGRR. There will be a short presentation at the Alling Coverlet Museum and then a walking portion of the tour will follow. Admission is free, donations are welcome.
