“Ghosts and more ghosts”
All Ghost hunters are invited to share their evidence at the Alling Coverlet Museum. You too can come and discuss or share your ghost stories. What have you captured and what has gone bump in the night that has been recorded. 7-9pm. Historic Palmyra’s Ice Cream Social
Complimentary tours of all museums with grand opening of new exhibits. Begin at the Alling Coverlet Museum, 122 William Street, Palmyra. At 6:30 p.m. and tour until 8:30 p.m. with ice cream following your tours. (315) 597-6981. No charge all welcome. This year’s theme’s are Sibyl love the Circus at the Wm. Phelps General Store at 140 Market Street, Wedding Dresses, 19th and 20th century and the 200th year of the death of founder General John Swift. Also new rooms will be displayed with new murals and lots of amazing stories and artifacts.
Author George Contant who wrote "Path of Blood" and Each Bee was a Bullet" about the famed local 33rd Regiment, Company B, and how it became to be. From Rochester to Nunda, from Marion to Canandaigua, From Palmyra to Elmira and then to battle. Learn of the heroes of the toughest fighting least acknowledge Regiment during he Civil War. Lively, personal, and moving. George's presentation is amazing.!! He will also talk about the bloodiest battle in one day. "Antietam"
Cost: Free - This no charge event is one of Historic Palmyra's Community Participation monthly programs. The walk around the village has been canceled and replaced with this amazing program. It has been at least 10 years since George has spoken to us and you won't want to miss this one.
Palmyra Pirate Weekend Haunted walk and hunt – 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. $15 per person. Last year we had a record attendance and got lots of great stuff. Come on down and have fun with this event. Remember the 200th Anniversary of General John Swift death is maybe he will speak to us.
Historic Palmyra’s Pirate Whitley’s Pirate Den Museums
Live and dead pirates, skulls, and treasurers suitable for the younger and older folks. Stories are told in the Museum yard and free to all by Bloody Mary at 12:30 p.m. and 3:30

Take a stroll through Palmyra’s village and then Palmyra Historical Museum and Phelps General Store at 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. watch for the spirits of the museums. Cost is $10/person. Members are $5. Historic Palmyra’s Murder and Tragedy Tour
Tour begins at the Palmyra Historical Museum at 132 Market Street. This will be a walking tour from Market Street to West Main Street discussing the darker side of Palmyra’s history. 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. This is the third year for this amazing tour that gives you chills and thrills in the darkened streets of Palmyra. $12 per person with refreshments served at the end of this event.
